PEI focuses on strategic advisory for clients in the Power, Energy and Infrastructure sectors. PEI is comprised of a dedicated team of trusted advisors with extensive experience in the industry. Although PEI was launched as an independent entity in 2022, key members of the team have worked together since 2014.

PEI is dedicated to serving clients with long-standing, established relationships. The PEI team actively partners and advises market-leaders in the power and energy sector, including financial sponsors, renewables developers and independent power companies, on a variety of M&A, strategic advisory and capital raising (both debt & equity) activities.

about the position:

  • PEI Global Partners, a FINRA and SEC registered broker-dealer, is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team in Tampa. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and ideally be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), although PEI will consider candidates who are not CPAs.

responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports

  • Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets

  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

  • Coordinate and assist with external audits to ensure successful and timely completion

  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics

qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred

  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial analysis

  • Attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Experience with financial reporting systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quick Books Online
