about the position:
We are a rapidly expanding boutique investment bank, seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Power Markets Analyst to enhance our dynamic team. This pivotal role will collaborate closely with our in-house market analytics division, a team of seasoned professionals specializing in both conventional power and renewable energy sectors. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting our investment banking operations and contributing to our business development initiatives.

responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive analyses of long-term supply and demand trends within relevant industries connected to the power sector
Perform thorough reviews and assessments of power market policies and regulatory frameworks
Assist the investment banking team in the execution of deals, including due diligence and transaction support
Develop and refine marketing presentations tailored to our client's needs and market trends
Employ advanced in-house modeling tools for price forecasting and dispatch analysis
Craft and present detailed sector-specific presentations to prospective clients and internal team members
Provide essential support in industry-specific training programs for incoming investment banking analysts
Analyze and interpret financial models pertinent to client proposals and strategic planning
Assess and compare financial performance against prevailing industry trends
Actively participate in and contribute to ongoing business development and deal execution processes
qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline
1-3 years of relevant experience in the power or renewable energy sector
Strong interest in global power markets
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Proactive, team-oriented, results-driven
Proficiency in analytical and financial modeling, with a keen eye for detail
